Hi All,

I have a question on the M2 Comp tyre pressure monitoring system. My system only shows that the tyres are in the green meaning pressures are ok. However i have noticed that othe M2 and other BMW models show the actual tyre pressure and tyre temp?

Just wanted to know if anyone know why this is and can it be upgraded?

Car is still under plan.

Seems that it has an Indirect TPMS that uses the ABS wheel sensors to indirectly measure the relative loss of pressure (which comes through as difference in wheel rolling circumference).

The direct TPMS is an active pressure sensor per wheel that directly measures tyre pressure per wheel.

I don't know if BMW offer an approved retrofit, but what you can do is fit an aftermarket direct TPMS. I fitted on my 2013 Boxster back in 2020. Google "Steelmate TPMS". It is a Chinese brand, but the system works very well. I would advise getting the internal sensors (fit into the tyre) with the solar powered display unit that is neat and small enough to fit on your dashboard.
