Towing a bike with a e36 vert

Hey Guys:=):

So, I recently bought a little scrambler. I really love the little bike and wish to take it with me when I go down to PE for the holidays or wherever else I go. :rollsmile:
My current car is an e36 convertible, see thread for pics: http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=37288

So to tow it I will need a tow bar. I really hate the idea of strapping a set of "balls" to my vert’s sexy ass. Are there any removable tow bar solutions that I can have a look at?

Also, I really don’t want the hassles of owning a bike trailer. I have seen solutions where you get a tow-bar attachment and you can strap the bikes front wheel to it, and the bike just trails behind the car on its back wheel. Do you guys know of these setups? Where can I get one?

PS: I’m in Cape town

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

:thumbs: great to have a bke to scoot around on when on holiday.

Im dead against those towing things you talk about where the bikes rear wheel rides on the ground - because you can hit some nasty potholes and damage too many things.

You are in a difficult position - I hope u can find a good solution.

Thanks Mike,

Ye I hope i find a solution soon too. I think my dropped car would be much worse off hitting a pothole than the little off-road bike. Guess I'll have to drive carefully though...

I see images of driving 140km/h, the bike starting to wobble, and not so fun times ensuing
