took my own advice

So as the heading says i took my own advice as to what i consider to be the most common sense BMW to drive as a daily commute and changed back to the F30 320d.
Even though the books say the petrol cars are not that far off in the economy stakes i have now been full circle and in real life terms you cannot even get close to the F30 320d auto.

Good move... You can't beat the effortless power delivery of a BMW turbo Diesel engine .
I have the detuned 2.0 in 318d config and find that it's perfectly balanced.

PETROL SCHMETROL I say...... Unless it's V Power Nitro going into the ///M.

As long as you're doing the mileage, you will reap the benefits of diesel power.
By the way.... I believe diesels cheaper than petrol in SA.

Is this true?

The price of diesel is not regulated in RSA so if you shop around you can score up to 50c per litre.

So good to see this. Just Just underlines what I have been saying. As far as balanced power delivery is concerned, that is Power/economy, the 135 kW 320d is tops.

The Audi and Merc equivalents comes close, but 320d is still best.
