To Tune Or Not To Tune -that is the Question

Why would you?
Is it jus an opportunity to say that mines bigger than yours?

If youre a track day addict thats acceptable.
If youre a drag day addict thats acceptable.
But,if youre a highway and traffic light grand prix champion,then the only thing which needs a remap is your head cos lives are in danger.

And its not usually the fast drivers who cause the accidents but the slower and more unaware drivers who mess up.But are you willing to play lifes highway lottery - Remember,your bonus ball is your blowout at 180km.

Yep - not everyone tunes for TLGP's, drags or 1/4 mile times or to drive over the limits.

Sometimes just having that extra dose of power provides all the satisfaction you need - within legal limits of course.

My C55 is louder than most others, compliments of a decat and aftermartket exhaust. Im not trying to be better than anyone else, its just the way i like it.

What made you decide to buy an ///M, why not just a regular econo-box?
Personal taste.

Also, it doesnt matter if you're driving a rusty golf or a scooby with 300kw or even a ferrari as a "daily", its the way in which you conduct yourself on the roads that determines how many lives would be in danger.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but in my opinion, people work hard for their money, and if (in my case as an example) i just wanted a loud exhaust for the hell of it, then thats what i want. :thumbs:

Ive only brought this up cos Ive been wanting to tune mine and made enquiries with "Superchip" initially.
The owner of the garage asked me - is it NA,I said yes and he said dont waste your time.Ive since learnt that superchip run a generic remap.

Ive been to Hamann,schnitzer,evolve,and mosselman and they all claim a 20/25bhp increase for R10k with primary cat deletes and 2nd stage inductions and fairy cakes on the roof top blah blah blah.

SC is the way forward but as these are made of solid gold and fairy dust,I cant afford to do it
So its just those stad 420 horses for me.
