Hiya, recently got my first bmw and looooving it!!! Got a white e46 323i and started doing some changes, wheels and tints to be exact. So question is, do I colour code the bumpers white or not? I see lots of nace looking beemers totally pimped out but with black beeding? Why not colour code? So wanted to know if there's a unspoken rule about colour coding bumpers? Please let me know, don't wana do something dumb!

My feeling is that if the car is white than black beadings aren't bad. (especially on an e46) If it's another colour, I would go colour coded. :)

I've seen one all white, not looking too good.
The m3 and ci's look good cause the body shape suits the look.:excited:
Rather try to get the white/black ballance on your car perfect.:thumb:
Other option, go for light gray.:wtf: I know...
I remember a friend of mine had a merc, and it was white, so he made the trim all gray, looked wicked.
Get someone with photoshop, take a pic if your car and photoshop it to see how it will look.
Whatever you decide to do,:dunno: it's your car, so as long as you like it, then go for it.
If you mess it up:cursin:...then be prepared for the BMW-Police to show up at your door to knock some sence into you.

Yip. Still thinking if I'm gonna keep her out of motorplan, or trade up before October this year...
Must say, I think I might be swaighing towards the keeping her, more than the selling her.
:dunno:

Looks good, if your not gna upgrade heavy, then rather keep it. It looks unique. What mods you done to it, it has a fast look about it

I've seen some good looking e46 that where colour coded, but without it looks just as good it ends up being a personal choice.

Want I would do, don't colour code and then get a set of blacked out grilles and some matt black wheels go for the whole black and white look

Sankekur,
Could I interest you in the following: http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=8741

:)

Yeah, I've seen it, but I like the chrome look grilles a bit more on the silver BMW, just my personal taste though. (also don't have a lot of money to spend atm)

Personally I wouldn't colour code the car. Firstly it protects your doors and bumpers from minor bumps and scratches which would look like crap if it actualy were paint and secondly in the area that i live there is this "tannie" who drives a white E46 328i with everything painted white and somehow it just looks funny, I don't know exactly how to explain it but something just doesn't look right. Also i guess it would probably cost around R2500-R3000 to get everything painted so why not get something more striking like xenon headlights or LED tail lights or whatever. But yeah just my opinion.:)

You right, the qoutes I got we're all around there. I was def gna do it, but not so sure anymore. Going to do eibachs and see how I feel after the drop. But as I said before, everytime I see a all white ci I'm gona get an urge to go for it

imo, e46 sedan looks better not colour coded

the ci's don't have beading in the bumpers, that's why they look good
