Timing chain tensoner, guide rail replacent

HELP PLEASE ! ! !

I need to replace my timing chain tensonor and chain guide of my bmw 318ti e46.

Can anyone guide me in how to do this please?

I would really appreciate it.

Hi boet. I have a "Bentleys" workshop manual for my E36 (the manual covers from 316i to M3 models) . I looked thru that with regards to the timing chain and tensioner replacement. Now I understand u have a later model but(and I stand under correction) but the basic design of the motor wud be the same. What I can tell u is its not a simple job......everything from the cooling fan to the aircon needs to be removed...also the speak of bmw special tools(obviously u can make a magyver there). Goodluck.
