Throttle adaption values

Would removing the battery terminals for a few minutes reset the adaption values on the throttle and maybe even the EGS(Gearbox)?

Car in question: E90 320d LCI Step'

I've got access to a Bosch esitronic unit. I'll use it but I want to know should I reset the adaption values for the throttle or the EGS when experiencing an uncomfortable shift? Or both?

There are a few guys that can reset the adaptions for you in Cape Town including me.
