Thoughts on Avensis 2.2 D-4D

A 2006 Avensis 2.2 D-4D came up for sale and I might be interested. However, expecting general Toyota reliability I was a bit disappointed in my googling revealing that that specific model might be prone to head gasket failure.

Any thoughts of wisdom or experience with the 2.2 D-4D from forum members?

No experience with the car, but always thought it was good value for money...

Stay away from the paddle shift boxes appart from that no issues :thumbs:
