how is the e46 then more family friendly

and dropping kid off at school in M3 is way cooler for the kid

Im with everyone else on this one, get a cheap lil runner, there are some decent cars out there for 60 to 70k,

Do not make my mistakes, I have had some many awesome cars in the past, and always sold them using your above thought process, if I just hung on to them a little longer, I would own several awesome cars right now

Audi's are nice, I had a B5 2.8 and a B6 1.8T, but they are not the same.. keep the M dude, specially if its nice, tell her its an investment, if you look at the auto trader, you will see prices are creeping up VERY slowly, but the E36 M3 was an icon.

I love a manual, but then again, now I have a DSG gearbox in the GTI, and it's oh so convenient in town.

Nothing wrong with driving a VW. The VW's I have had have been very faithful and reliable (and some of you know how i drive). Anything that can take that kind of beating deserves some respect!! Its a great back-up family car!
