Car looks great, as for the stone chips I have the same problem on my Z3, I was thinking of getting the front end done with VPS paint protection. Not sure how well it works.
I have VPS on the Coupe. I did the respray of most of teh left side, bonnet and bumper due to some damage it got in my garage. But as it came out the panelbeaters i sent it to VPS.
They covered the whole front bumper, you cannot see the edges as its folded around the edges and underneath. Only "seam you can see is where they cat to cut it to pit around the "butress" between the airdan and the brake vent intakes.
The bonnet is a tricky one. I had mapped the stone chips on the bonnet before the respray and decided how high up the bonnet it most go. In retrospect it might be overkill. \
The skirts because they stick out and people scuff them getting in and out. also stone chips.
The rear fenders as they pick up stone chips like bastards. I put VPS over an non-repsprayed chips there and it doesn't look bad. I maybe should have just chip doctored them...
The couldn't do a decent job on the wingmirrors because they curve to much.
I have taken some wicked hits since its been installed and not even a scuff on the film!!! It also seems to cushion teh blows so less chance of small dents.
Areas in red are now covered. It cost R3500 IIRC.
