It is not often that you see an article on these beauties.

We (SA) came close with our own incarnation of the E30 M3 (333i and 325is), but still, it was not the same.

Have anyone seen any of these in SA?

Jacques.

I've seen only one, a silver one that attended a Cedar Isle breakfast run. And there's a red one, Dubai import, in Durban somewhere.

It always amazes me how guys can do this. Surely he must have some serious drive train issues; gearbox, diff, clutch, propshafts etc.

to be honest, i doubt he will have that much hassle because his whole setup is based on a friend of mine who done the same thing and went rhough all the teething problems(or rather still going through ) so tricks and nicks would probably have been shared.

I managed to see one while in New York. But I dont think they hold them in the same regard. Inside it was really beat up and torn.
