Ever since Fsalie took over the reins of my big turbo kit we have been progressively fine tuning and optimising the power delivery. On his previous outing he managed to a achieve a 262km trap speed. Which is 3km faster than I ran during the Fanatics Race Day 2015. In prep for Race Day 2016 the car was never on a dyno. Only road logged. So we have no idea what power it’s making other than its north of 500whp.
Queue Race Day 2016. Bigger and better than the last with the competition so much stronger this year.
On his first run Fsalie managed a trap speed of 258km.
During the second run he trapped a lighting fast 264km.
For his final run he trapped a 258km. After which he decided to give his son a chance to run.
With the car cooled down, a novice driver at the wheel and the boost dialled up a little, Fsalie Jr managed a 267km trap speed.
The is still more to give from the kit. Considering we haven't install a port injection kit yet we see this car just getting better and better over the coming months.

A big congrats to the father and son team!
Awesome achievement.

Sjo, crazy speeds, well done! :praise:

Q: Just looking at the strain your tires must go through @ 250km/h +

Do you use any special tires, or take any additional precaution in the case of a blowout?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, I honestly just dont know. But, I can imagine the stress on the tires must be way higher than what its designed for?

Tires have speed ratings so its important to use a tire thats rated for those kind of speeds as well as running correct pressures. Lots of guys were running slicks or semi's too, but thats more popular over the 1/4
