Great thread and pics, guys  Lets see if I can add a bit to this, don't dare ask me for pics, and feel free to "educate" me if I am wrong:

The new kids on the block:

E84 - X1 2009 on
F07 - 5 Series GT 2009 on
F11 - 5 Series Touring 2010 on
F13 - 6 Series 2011 on
F25 - X3 2010 on

Current established models, including where applicable, in addition to what you mention above:

E81 - 1 Series Three Door 2004 on
E82 - 1 Series Coupe and M Coupe 2007 on
E87 - 1 Series Five Door 2004 on
E88 - 1 Series Convertible 2007 on

E90 - 3 Series Four Door Saloon 2005 on
E91 - 3 Series Touring 2005 on
E92 - 3 Series Coupe 2006 on
E93 - 3 Series Convertible 2007 on

The previous models, including where applicable, in addition to what you mention above:

E63 - 6 Series Coupe including M6 2003 to 2011
E64 - 6 Series Convertible including M6 2003 to 2011
E60 - 5 Series Saloon including M5 2003 to 2010
E61 - 5 Series Touring including M5 2004 to 2010
E85 - Z4 Roadster including M 2002 to 2009
E86 - Z4 Coupe including M 2006 to 2008
E36/7 - Z3 all versions 1995 to 2002

As I understand, all models prior to the above had one E designation for all variants.

The old guys:

2000Cs - 1965 to 1970
1600GT - 1967 to 1968
700LS Coupe - 1959 to 1965
Neue Klasse - 1962 to 1971
600 - 1957 to 1959
Isetta 250/300 - 1955 to 1962
507 - 1956 to 1959
3200CS - 1962 to 1965
501 - 1952 to 1955
502 - 1954 to 1957
503 - 1956 to 1960

And now into the real old timers, some in Sankekur's pics:

335 - 1939 to 1941
327/28 - 1937 to 1941
327 - 1937 to 1941
320/321 - 1937 to 1941
329 - 1936 to 1937
328 - 1937 to 1939
326 - 1936 to 1941
319/1 - 1935 to 1937
315 - 1934 to 1937
309 - 1934 to 1936
303 - 1933 to 1934
3/20 - 1932 to 1934
3/15 DA 4 - 1930 to 1932
3/15 DA 3 - 1930 to 1931
3/15 DA 2 - 1929 to 1931
Dixi 3/15 DA 1 - 1927 to 1929

And I think that is BMW's complete car history, bar one-offs and concepts. These ranges can then obviously be broken down further into special versions available in certain markets only, such as the e30 333i which was a South African car only. No, I am not super itelligent, rather more like Manuel from Fawlty Towers, " I learnt it from a book". :)

Also, there be this:

bmw-507-roadster-1957.jpg

The BMW 507. Elvis had one.

Indeed, he did, and Madonna had a Mini, Nigel Mansel had an e12 M535i, Nelson Piquet a e24 635CSI, George Lucas a e39 5 as a daily, the lady from Roxette an e30......we should start a thread about stars and their cars!

The first ones almost have a toy-like look ... and then suddenly that E3... and the E9...
Couple of less appealing ones in the modern line-up, though.
