Old story - there is the upper, middle and lower earning classes in South Africa just like anywhere else in the world. I reckon the lower earning class is larger than the middle earning class, and the difference between the various earning classes is also quite a bit higher compared to other countries, certainly the UK I would think. So this brings the average earning for South Africans down quite a bit compared to the UK.

100%

I think the biggest difference is in Brazil? But then again might heard that from a movie somewhere:roflol::fishwack:

Kabal, I'm assuming that you've lived somewhere in London?

I would also think the minimum wage in UK is higher than SA, no?

But on the other hand, expenses are probably more:cry:

yes, much higher regarding wages, about R80 an hour

yes, on some things, regarding expenses

but it is not an even ratio of wages:expenses, not even close.

That was a trick Question..( notice, I didn't ask which part of England, rather which part of London) London Town and Londoners see very little of what actually happens in the North of the country- Eg, the Midlands , north and NE east .
This is where the lowest earners live. Perhaps you've heard of Fuel Poverty, where people cannot afford to pay for gas.

But that's not what this threads about. It's about a company who has the infrastructure to provide high speed broadband over copper or even set up fibre , but what do they do.... Talk about capping.
Please stop making excuses for these dickheads

Agree.
Telkom's monopoly will retard progress in South Africa. The same with the cellular networks.

We trail behind the best in the world but we could be the leader of the pack if we open competition.

Yup but that's how it is now, I'm sure it will open in the future, but I'm not holding my breath:yuck:
