Sunroof

Hi guys

I have noticed on my E90 everytime I try to close the sunroof using the key it always closes and goes in deeper and not the way it's supposed to close (sinks in a bit). After that it leaves an error on the dash. I cleared the fault myself using some post I found on here but this happens over and over again.

If I use the button inside the car all is well. Any ideas?

Thanks guys

There also something about reprogramming the roof, I thinks theres an old thread. Like how you would program a key. Maybe the guys with e90's can tell you more.

dude, it isnbt a fault or anything. it jsut needs a reset.

do the ffg:

1. unlock your car and put in the key fob
2. hold the sunroof button right back like your are opening the sunroof fully, and hold it there for long, till the sunroof opens fully and then it will close again!
3. once it closes, it will be reset.

i might have a missed a point or two but nothing too drastic, other E90 guys cna elaborat eif i missed out anything else:thumbs:

That's correct. Just reset. We had a similar problem with our X5-took it to bmw and all the service advisor did was come to the vehicle and press and hold the sunroof button till it opened fully then closed.
