hi guys I have a strange problem on my e46 320d
its slightly hard to explain but if you drive in first or second and accelerate and let go again it makes this knocking noise but I must add that it is only under mid to hard acceleration
I had the car by supa quick but we couldn't find any bushes or universals broken or too much play at the end the guy said the only thing he can think of is a engine mounting or a exhaust that might be loose, then I took it to another bmw mechanic and he says its the first time his heard that noise,he says the only thing is to take off all the belly pans and check.
so I did and can still find nothing wrong I even had my wife try to shake the car with the car in gear and drop the clutch and release again will I was underneath looking and to me the engine mounting looks fine.
if u guys have any ideas that would help alot thanks
