this is really a great loss , I see it was taken from a service provider premises. I think service providers must be chosen carefully before you trust your pride and joy , a friend of mine assembled his dream Hilux bakkie [vvti 2l motor with supercharger] , dropped the bakkie at a clutch and brake place in Diep River , Cape town ,leaving instructions that the it must not leave their premises , they later called him to say can he please come switch-off the alarm and anti-hijack , which he obliging did because they cant work where he left it in the workshop. A couple later they called to say sorry but we parked your vehicle outside during teatime and when looked again it was gone .Some of legal minded friends said it be worthwhile to sue because they will only pay the value of the bakkie and not what you spent , case closed. At a bmw workshop in my area my brother in law took their Polo for some repairs and service, only to get a call from the owner that they broke into his house and stole all the customers car keys , can they bring a spare. Now I pass their daily and see majority of the cars at the workshop are some nice e46 with the odd e39 and e90 , and somebody has now the keys of these cars including that of my sister Polo.
I just think that compulsory insurance should be mandatory at these businesses and that one should ask the owner , and I don't care how good they or their reputation is , ''I am sorry ' cannot make up for it when your pride and joy is gone
