Stolen 745i

It's even more sad now that the owner actually wants to rebuild it. Shows the love he had for it.

Sadly, there is no way of rebuilding that car, to what it used to be.
Will take ages of searching, and bucket loads of money, to find the right parts,

This is heartbreaking to see. I have seen the car shortly before it was stolen. That interior was brand-new and truly something to behold. Now it graces a township car.

I hope that these scum who did this are found and brought to book, and that the parts are recovered. One would assume that if the car has been recovered, some of the perpetrators have been identified?

So so sad... especially such a rare car!! Bastards must be caught and dismembered slowly like the car was............

Very sad indeed, not to be negative. But I would discourage you from even trying to rebuild her/a new one. In this country it is not worth it.. Again sorry about this, perhaps look at another car to restore and build up.

very heartbreaking to see the condition they recovered the car in as opposed to what it was....as someone mentioned , there were only 13 of these floating around, so its most likely irreplaceable and insurance will probably pay you nothing

What leaves me perplexed is how no one knows who the culprits are seeing as it has been found.

In Ricks case the cops found the car(635 2 years in the making) in a scrapyard in Lens and the cops did not know who it was neither did the case ever gain any traction

Draw your own conclusions that which they may be...
Sad really and an indictment on our moral compass as a nation.

this is really a great loss , I see it was taken from a service provider premises. I think service providers must be chosen carefully before you trust your pride and joy , a friend of mine assembled his dream Hilux bakkie [vvti 2l motor with supercharger] , dropped the bakkie at a clutch and brake place in Diep River , Cape town ,leaving instructions that the it must not leave their premises , they later called him to say can he please come switch-off the alarm and anti-hijack , which he obliging did because they cant work where he left it in the workshop. A couple later they called to say sorry but we parked your vehicle outside during teatime and when looked again it was gone .Some of legal minded friends said it be worthwhile to sue because they will only pay the value of the bakkie and not what you spent , case closed. At a bmw workshop in my area my brother in law took their Polo for some repairs and service, only to get a call from the owner that they broke into his house and stole all the customers car keys , can they bring a spare. Now I pass their daily and see majority of the cars at the workshop are some nice e46 with the odd e39 and e90 , and somebody has now the keys of these cars including that of my sister Polo.
I just think that compulsory insurance should be mandatory at these businesses and that one should ask the owner , and I don't care how good they or their reputation is , ''I am sorry ' cannot make up for it when your pride and joy is gone
