So i got myself into it:
Following my dream to build a track car and race in the BMW SA Club Series. And as soon as my little guy is tall enough he's gonna learn how to drive and race.

So here's us arriving with the E36 M3 dubbed " FIREFLY" by me loving wife who sponsored the cash.

All i can say is i did pick this car up for a good price, but she's really has had a rough life and quite some accident damage, and i ws made aware of it by the seller, and the car is perfect for what i need it for, but i am gonna turn her into a machine of note.( i keep telling her that:blab ( funny how i talk to a car when i'm working on it )

Plenty of cosmetic spares , windows etc available , so please PM me or post in my other thread for parts anybody you are looking for.

The seats are up for grabs and are fully functional and have recently been re-done in black and red, with the grey base.... which is a bit...different.

next step is roof lining and pulling engine and gearbox, so that i can put Firefly on a trailer and send her for a new roll-cage.

A big thanks to Coisman :thumbs: for checking out the history, and to BruceT :thumbs: for offering advice etc, I know i'm gonna need it.

This car is returning to her roots. All ///M cars should not be allowed to die in a scrap yard or be miss treated and sold for spares... they should be allowed to be reborn and shine on the track ... Just my opinion.

it is equipped with single or double vanos? 3 or 3,2 litre?

On the sound thing, i believe 114dB is the limit, so i'll make sure mine makes 113.5dB...:rollsmile:

i havent yet decided . but i do know that i'll need adjutable coil overs.

so end of day 2 , i had one or two "hulk smash" moments, especially when it came to try getting the upper dash out without removing the windscreen.

space is so limited that not even a stubby screw driver can get in there.

After packing up and having a nice hot red cappuccino, i had the moment of inspiration... vice grip and screw driver tip will do it.
