hey all....hope you guys can help me

so i changed them and got my self e46 ci 17s oems

since then iv changed the steering pump twice and it still feels not quite right.....like at times when i take a turn the steering becomes extremely tight and like hard as a tractor to take the turn, and you can hear like a crazi spring noise.....
the mech who changed the steering pump says definately its coz of the 17s that i have on and the steering is too weak to handle 17s...

is this possible??? coz every1 around changes their rims and i dont see any diffrence

thanks

Doubt it dude... :nonono: Running 17's on my 328i without issue for years now... How wide are your front tires?

The crazy spring noise is probably just the spring on the steering linkage (next to manifold) that needs some lubrication.

I am having almost the same issue once I changed to 17" on my e36 328i.
After lubricating where the steering column meets the firewall(knuckle) its seems to be fine - dont know for how long though
