STEERING FITMENT-STANDARD TO MUTLI FUNCTION AND SPORT

good day fellow fanatics,
i trut you all are keeping well,
forgive me if this has already been discussed, as i tried to search it but found nothing i could use.

anyways,

i am in need of changing my steering wheel ( got the standard non-multi function) , and need to know which other opssible steering i could fit onto my car without having problems, like wiring/airbags/sensor,etc. below are 2 that are available but not sure which to go for, obviousy i would take the sport steering first but its quite different to my design, but the 2nd steering attached looks just like mine but has multi functionality . do you guys perhapshave some experiance regarding this matter, or know if there are ANY other steering wheels that will work on my 2000 model prefacelift ?

Buy Coisman's steering wheel! I'm not sure about wiring an MFS steering wheel onto a non MFS car.

im actually not too fussed about the functionality of the buttons, eve if its just there for "the look" is cool, but not sure if that will also now give me error msg's ?

do you know what coismans steering looks like ?

It's like the Sports steering in your first picture, without the buttons. Has a lovely alcantara rim.

ok thats a bit too much , the one that i have shown is actually for sale for 2k through a mate of mine, but really need cnofirmation if that would even fit on my car without major hassles.... is this confirmation perhaps ?

Look it will work, but make contact with Coisman first. The wheel he has in not secondhand but a refurb done professionally in Germany. It has extra grips with top quality leather and perforated grips.

I have held this wheel and its nothing short of orgasmic. He is also open to negotiation so speak to him..you won't regret it!

Hi, i have done the conversion last week. Bought the multi function steering wheel as in you bottom picture but with the buttons on the side (i think it is called "four spoke". Go to the for sale section at the bottom of the forum index and then to spares for sale or something similar. Scroll down until you find a post i started regarding "Looking for four spoke multi function steering wheel" and you can read all about the conversion. Actually, straight forward swop but with three extra wires that you cut into and connect to the existing wiring system. It is working like a charm. Very happy i did the conversion as i wanted the cruise control function desperately.

oooooh ... im excited. also found this write up explaining the different style wheels ad airbags, looks i do have the dual stage airbag system and may indeed be able to do the sport steering swop :rollsmile:.. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=655912
