I was invited to a private event at Isithebe so last minute preparations and I decided to test out our hybrid 335i 2007 Auto. This car as on the other thread kicked out 447wkw at Stealth HQ dyno some 3 months ago. It has done 5500km since and only used 700ml of oil.
While logging and testing on Thursday night the gearbox started to slip on around 28Psi. On Map3 with lower additive it held up. (lower torque)
On the street I measured a time of 11.6@211kmh. 0 to 100 in 3.8sec with brand new Hoosiers.
Yesterday I tried out my custom map but it started slipping from 3rd gear and had to abort some runs, running 12.7 up to 15sec.
I had to run on Map3 between 40 - 50% additive which surprised me as it ran multiple 11.9sec runs. I pushed to get a 11.6 but with poor traction of the line and then slip midway down the track balanced everything out to 11.9. At the track I could only manage 4.4sec to 100kmh.
Did not really want to do any burnouts in attempt to save the trans. Nevertheless it was my first event with this bomber I learnt a few things about it and improvement will come. I was pretty chuffed when Kas announced that it was the vehicle with the highest trap speed of the day. Highest trap was 208.67kmh. Till next time..
