std e36 328i headers

hey guys, i jus fitted my dual 57mm ff exhaust and sounds great!! but turns out the car doesnt have a branch (i thought it did) :slap:
so was wondering if the standard headers on the e36 328i is good as is or does it really need a branch??

yes the 328I looks like branches as its pipes and not a cast manifold! but cyl 1 goes in 2 and 2 in to 3 which makes them work agains each other as they fire in different orders! so getting induvidual pipes or branches for each cyl will make a power difference! doesnt help you try and get as much air in your engine as posible but it strugles to flow out!
The more air you can get in your motor and the quicker you get the gasses escape from the exhaust the more power you will make! hope this makes sense and answers your question!

Std e36 325i header casting must weigh quite a few kilos and based on a massey ferguson tractor design :clap:
IMHO try a e36 M3 header or TNT/viper header .

How much can i pick up an e36 m3 header for? also a tnt/viper?
i asked the guy that did my free flow and he jus said its gonna cost ALOT.. and left it at that.. i was too scared to ask again :dunno:

Here in East London Powerflow quoted over R5000 for Viper so in civilisation you guys can get headers and complete system for that price :thumbsup:
Have seen secondhand M3 headers for about R1000 or so .
Supersprint headers , availibility and price , I think Tnt are ok .

both very simular the 3.2 ones are just better designed! so go for the 3.2 ones or TNT makes exact replicas! Vanderlinde also makes decent branches! you can even look at some Ceramic Coating before you install them!

Duno bud! depends on how the scrapyard feels the day! you can get a bargain foraround R1000 which ill pay for 2nd hand ones! if it goes more than R1500 get customs made!
