technical Squeaking windows

Hi gents and ladies…

I came across this topic a while back, I think it was on Facebook, but cannot find it anywhere again

When my windows are fully closed, they seem to make some sort of squeaking sound, even when closing them and they reach the top of the sill (not sure how to describe the sound)
When driving and the car kind of flexes, you hear it too.

Quick fix for this is by opening the window ever so slightly, but I’m looking for a permanent fix now.

Anyone here managed to fix this?

Below is one of the articles I found:

This is on an E90 MSport

the word is *Reason.

But anyways, glad you came right.
the rubber hardens over time an causes glass to rub, and squeak. happens more so with the Coupes and the frameless doors, but the full frame are not immune to this issue.

When i had my E92, as strange as it may sound, i put some tyre shine on a cloth, and rubbed it along the length of the rubber seals, and left the doors open for a good hour or so, and soaked into the rubber and made it slightly softer. never had squeaking again.

Some say its not a good idea coz it wont seal properly after that, but i had no issues in heavy rain either.
