To partner with business to deliver and manage integrated communications solutions. This involves planning, organizing and implementation of all the internal and external communication and
marketing processes and events within AIMS with the objective of improving service delivery to clients
and stakeholders.

Accountability:
Stakeholder Communication
Develop integrated communication strategy and liaise with Group Communications to ensure alignment with strategic intent and direction at Group level.
Liaise with all relevant stakeholders (i.e. internal and/or external clients and the BU management team) to identify current and future communication requirements that need to be communicated via various \ communication channels, such as, written communication (e.g. letters, documentation), email, etc.
Develop and maintain all client facing communication operational materials through conducting competitor intelligence, reviewing the BU’s policy documents and confirmation letters
and interacting with Investments Strategy and Research, and Sales functions so that updates can be implemented by the relevant internal BU department (e.g. Transfers and Estates, Switches).

Communicate via relevant channels the impact of projects (e.g. Products, Funds, System changes) to internal and external stakeholders so that stakeholders are aware of these changes.

Provide input into the development and maintenance of the BU’s business forms (e.g. Application Forms, Amendment Forms, and Repurchases forms) to Investments Client and Research function to ensure that these meet the required professional standards as defined by the Manager Advisory
Services.

Obtain signoff from the relevant stakeholders before the implementation of any client facing communication materials by ensuring that the communication is in simple and clear language
to understand by the end stakeholder, e.g. Financial Adviser.

Coordinate all client communication (including, sms and emails, brochures, policy documents) and communication sent to stakeholders by checking that the material and communication adhere to the defined professional standards set by the Manager Advisory Services.

Provide input into the development of electronic interactive application forms to the IT department.
These forms are aimed at improving service levels thereby ensuring that the BU remains
competitive in the market.

Accountability: Relationship Management Plan, organize and implement external functions, such as, road shows, seminars and special events between Investments Sales Support and Financial Advisers so as to encourage these Financial Advisers to continue writing business for the BU.
Engage regularly with Business Sales Support on specific cases where there are service failures with the objective of identifying improvement areas and retaining client relations.

Manage and coordinate all internal and external communication to stakeholders by adhering to the signed off communication process (i.e. drafting, reviewing, signoff by line manager of communication messages).

Build ongoing relations and partnerships with stakeholders in order to ensure the delivery of consistent quality communication service to all relevant stakeholders.

Accountability: Research Conduct market and industry research in order to ensure that the BU’s communication processes and solutions meet stakeholders requirements.

Align the research findings to the BU’s communication strategy and budget? and produce a range communication solution (i.e. documents, policies, and letters).

Conduct research on regular basis, with all stakeholders, to determine the effectiveness of the communication channel (e.g. sms, website, email). Update the communications plan and strategy to ensure that it addresses these identified needs

Liaise with Investments Communications function on regular basis to ensure that the BU’s communication policy is aligned and covers all channels of communication as required.

Education and Experience Required
BCom Marketing equivalent to (NQF level 6.)
Three (3) years Linked Investment Service Provider working experience as a Communication Specialist
