Spark plug ignition coil upgrade

Good day all
I have a 2011 bmw x3 35i 183k kms, i am experiencing some stutters at cold start, when car is warm stutters are gone, im thinking its my coil packs or spark plugs, currently stage 1 tune with decat, what are the best options for upgrading, ive heard about the eldor coil packs aswell as 1 step colder spark plugs, any advice would be appreciated

Fuel pump? I couldnt be wrong but I dont think it your coil packs. My coil packs gave me issues during heavy load/hard accelerations. Cold start issues point to the fuel pump. But it really can be anything on the fuel delivery system, spark system or the sensors.

Just take it to a trust worthy shop. The replace and hope it fixes your problem is an expensive game. Whatever money you think you will save not taking it in will wind up costing you a ton.

First thing are you running logs to verify which cylinder is throwing the fault or at a minimum read the codes on the dme?
Considering the mileage, when last did you change the plugs or coils? Have you pulled the plugs to see the colour and condition of them


Thereafter do a simple test of moving the suspected plug and coil to different cylinders to troubleshoot. This could help point out which one is actually faulty.


If it's just a tune, maybe just consider refreshing with oem parts instead of going down the rabbit hole of upgraded parts
