Congrats on the "new" ride, Damn that thing is clean

My first car was a 1977 280se, comfortably floated me around without spending a cent on repairs

Love these cars. Used to have one a very very long time ago. The Germans literally took a tank and removed the turret and replaced the tracks with wheels and sold it off to the public. Epic cars.

I am also intrigued by the vents, but have not looked for exits....I will share when I find the answer, sorry. Think I'll put some compressed air into the door cavity and see where it goes.

 very nice - how much ?
the Beker Radio is missing...

Paid less than one can find an Uno for..... , but not for sale yet. Sony radio with rear speakers is the only non OEM items on the car, obviously the tires also.

Got an answer Sash! When the climate control is in operation, air is forced via that vent into the door, where it gently helps to defrost the windows. Ingenious!

Nearly all moderns cars have this and I think I'm right in saying that the W116 was one of the first cars to have it. If not, the first.
