Some before after pics of my engine bay

After nearly two years and hundreds of parts I had to buy, the "rescued" car is going together nicely.

This is just the engine and engine bay that took me 18 months. The car itself is actually very clean, but they had just trashed about every ancillary, cover, clip, painted part, bracket, nut and bolt in the engine bay through some very scary maintenance. (like a crowbar in the alternator to adjust the fanbelt), trashed wiring old pipes makeshift everything and lost or broken everything else.

Here are two pics of the non runner taken home on a flatbed

And some pics taken today just after the rebuild and with almost everything replaced as it came from the factory. (And I am still missing some stuff on order from Germany)

This really is marvellous work and attention to detail - love for a car etc!! It still really kills me to think that the previous owners had treated such a gem of a car so so badly - but she is now looking so much better and has been improving from day one since Rick got the car!

Fantastic work!! :praise:

I remember the day we stood there, looking at that sad bucket of bolts, standing there with her ass scraping on the ground. Now look at her. What a transformation.
