I remember being told a story by a salesman at Forsdicks BMW in Durban when the E39 Protection models came out. He said he'd sold 2 cash. The dudes walked into the dealership with a shoebox or 2 of bank notes ...... his quip was "I guess the reason they need a Protection model is the same reason they can pay cash for it"
