'99 model with less than 200k on the clock, but obviously needs work.

1. Where do I go for a battery that doesn't cost as much as BMW wants?
2. The rooflining at the back is starting to sag. Any advice or a proper upholsterer around Joburg you can recommend?

Midas or Bosch for the battery, they charge wayyy less for a battery that does exactly the same job as the one with the BMW sticker on it.

This shape has a type of aggressive front end that can intimidate if seen in the rear view mirror.

Thanks guys, I just spoke to Medwyn from MC and he clearly knows what he is talking about. If you look at his website, you will see the class of cars he works on.

I was afraid he wouldn't want to look at such a crappy job :withStu:

He quoted me R2 900 + vat for a new lining.

MC Autotrimmers are brilliant and affordable for their class of work.

It certainly seems like it. I don't have much experience in having roof linings replaced, but I don't think R2 900 is excessive.
