Hi guys

My e90 325i Auto is sluggish / slow on pull away.
Only when I really squeeze the paddle does she jump through 1st gear into second with in 12sec or so.
What would cause this sluggishness/ lag ?

Thanks

You need to ring that motor. It only comes alive after 5k rpm.
Whats the 0-100? It should be at least sub 8.5 seconds.

BTW, these car's are no good for robot to robot action. Yes on the open you can put a challenge to many.

My e90 330i normally takes off in 2nd gear however it's not sluggish. Is this not the case with your 325i?

sluggish in 1st gear sounds abit weird, if i pop mine into 1st and floor the throttle, i get a little traction control error logo appearing and goes away , it pulls hard and snaps into 2nd gear less than 3-5seconds.

Are you pulling away in "D" mode or shifting it into tiptronic mode and selecting 1st?

if you in "D" I believe that this is 2nd gear. and not really 1st. your car has enough torque to pull away in 2nd. i would guess that all e90 autobox's 1st gear are relatively still brand new and it HARDLY uses 1st gear to pull away.

Check for any codes and then try resetting gearbox adaptations.

Maybe also try a throttle reset:

Key in ignition
Turn ignition on without starting the car
Hold accelerator down flat for 30secs
Let go of the accelerator
switch car off

Ill try to reset throttle and see response.
I drive in D.

Please advise if this will erase any other settings.
