Thats correct. I was referring to the 2013 Boxster S PDK.

I knew this was coming, hence I compared the Boxster's with the same or similar production year to the M3. The e92 M3 is coming onto 7 years in a few months time and is discontinued.

When the new M is out next year we shall see...

Looking forward to it. But since you in the habit of comparing apples to apples like the M3 GTS to a Boxster S, lets see how the new M3 compares to a similarly priced 991 Carrera S.

as the OP, i personally believe that a BMW production model needs to be compared to the SLS Black series. problem is, there isn't a BMW model in production to compare to this. There are modded bmw versions that compare in performance, but that to me doesnt count. those modded BMWs don't have the luxury or the warranty of the black series and they are not sanctioned by BMW themselves. so in summary, bmw dont have a competitor to this merc monster. Loaded however do have one that compares in performance only.
