Should I replace the CCV / Oil Separator?

Morning Guy,

Thought I'd start Monday morning with a question seeing we're all in the working mood

I am replacing the valve stem seals on my e90 320i the weekend after next and was wondering if it's a good idea to change the CCV / oil separator at the same time?

Saw the following in this thread where it was part of the valve stem seal replacement job:
BMW dealers and Car Service City say +/- 15 000k (Labour 11 000k, parts 4000k) just to change:
1. Valve Stem Seal
2. Profile gasket
3. Gasket flange
4. Oil separator
5. Vent hose
6. Connecting line
7. Return pipe

I'm fortunate that I'm not taking it to dealer to do the job as Waseem 333i is assisting me with his magical valve stem keeper removal tool.

What do you guys think? Is it something worth doing as a preventive maintenance step?

I'm wondering with the lack of replies whether I'm asking a painfully stupid question or others are also unsure?

If it is a stupid question, please tell me so and why because I'm unsure here...

I can't give you a educated answer on this one bud, but if it is recommended, then go ahead and change it.
