SHOCKING how AUTO FEVER operates

Im glad to say after 4weeks of crap i finally received a brand new radiator from SILVERTON radiators in Springs as they now do keep stock since my incident with AUTO FEVER in webber str Johannesburg.

I am totally dissapointed in AUTO FEVER and ill never deal with them again and i wouldnt suggest anyone i know to ever buy from them, I phoned in 3 weeks ago and NATHAN told me he could get me a new one for R3500 but had to come pay for it up-front, so off i went paid it in full and left my old radiator as a sample. After a week he couldnt help me so wanted my money back, excuse after excuse and 2 weeks later i have still not received my money. I have been to AUTO FEVER more than six times, tried to speak to the owner but no luck he was always in a meeting or to busy to see me or just left when i arrive, i have spoken to the accounts department which apologized dearly for any inconvenience and they promised me by Friday and on Friday they promised me a EFT will be done Monday the 13th December 2010 when they open first thing. Hell yeah and it is wednesday already and no money. So i suggest you guys watch out when you really need to do business with them as I wouldnt recommend it AT ALL. To me it is totally un-acceptable doing business like this. I feel i have to warn you so you dont get treated the same way so watch out. I hate people doing funny business like this and i am out R3500 with a company that gets mentioned in all the forums ive been too even got the number on this forum. Even in the news paper so people trust them to get what they paid for or the cash money returned when you pass them. They didn't even return my old radiator as they promised.

I think i should see a lawyer and crank them so everyone can see how they operate, fast to take the cash but slow to refund when they cant help.

Is there any other sites where one can complain and make the public aware of deals like these.

Did i phone in to get a quote and confirm availability - yes i did.
Did i pay for the spares in cash up front - yes i did.
Did i phone in a visit them more than 3 times the first week and enquired about the spare part - yes i did.
Did they promise me my money back more than two weeks ago after they saw they under quoted me and couldn't supply me the radiator and keep to the agreement that they would refund me - NO THEY DIDN'T.
DID i complain - yes i did and NOT once did the owner want to speak to me and believe me ive been back to them more than six times and i was just given a new date and excuses why i could not be paid there and then.

SO IM REALLY PISSED OFF - I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

"Speak out" on SABC2 I think! They ripped the best electric apart in witbank plus the lady got a new PC.
A well know g/box and diff specialist in boxburg did the same thing to my tuner. So we stoped there and started to load the flat screen in the waiting area.. they dint hesitate to refund his deposit!

I must say that I have also had an bad experience with auto fever, was badly overcharged for a couple of parts, but back then I didn't know any better, personally I don't use auto fever any more and also never recommend any to go there.
This incident is totally unacceptable, I would complain at as many places as is possible, until you get your money back.

Where are these guys and do they have an email address? Email is an amazing tool. Send them an email with your concerns and threaten to send it to all your contacts if they do not pay up. We did this to a company that could not supply a product, after a week of phone calls, we sent a mail stating what would happen should they do not pay up. That very afternoon the money was refunded. Email is a virus, that bussiness will close before they know it. Regards RP.

Your first problem here is that you spoke to Nathan, he is just a rep, and earns commision.

Next time, ask for Lionel (half owner) or speak to Clinton himself.

That is Shocking...

Well, I had a similar incident with C&S in Alberton i was supplied with an incorrect flywheel and when I asked for the refund I was told that they do not do refunds and I will have to take something else for similar value.

In the end i decided not to bother with R2k as it was costing me to drive from Dbn to JHB for R2k. I have dealt with the owners and the sales guy and to date no resolution.

I firmly believe that whether you deal with a sales agent or the owner there should be consistency in service....

Sorry to hijack the thread, at times i think it is best to go to the stealers than going to these places...it is not worth the trouble that you go through, i am glad i never had chest pains driving back to Dbn.....:hammerhead:

so is anyone taking them off our "preferred suppliers" list???
the only way to beat these guys at their own game is to spread the word and let everyone know

Thank you for this enlightening thread. My fifteen year old 320i is acting up and i need more than a couple of things done up on it hence am looking for the most affordable way to go about it. I was referred to autofever and was searching their contacts when I came across this thread. Think I am going to think twice about autofever.

I want to deal with these guys now, and they are the only people where I can found an engine for a BMW 318i E46 Year 2003. If everyone says they not the place to be. Where can I found me an engine. And what will be a reasonable price?

Phone Autofever, ask to speak to Lionel directly...

As for reasonable prices, I would say 6 to 10k.. donno...
