It's your car - It's your choice. I Debadged mine.
The only sticker I will ever have is a BMWfanatics one :thumb:

I agree, de-badging and putting on an M would be pretty lame. not as lame as a tazz ///m mind you :)

but, at the end of the day, do what makes you feel happy

I was always of the opinion that the M badge belongs on a M car, but these days the e90 sportpack, for instance, has more M badges than an e36 M3.

I have an original M badge in my garage that was given to me by a friend, but it is going nowhere near either one of my BM's.

i share the same sentiment M badges belong on proper M cars, so maybe i'll stick to my gut feeling and keep it as is.
it might not be an M but its still a joy to drive :)

I have a couple of real M badges as well and these are the guy's i laugh at when i see wagon's with these badges on as it has nothing to do with a very fast car or expensive car or any crap other than the heritage behind that ///M badge.

A 120i or 525i does not have this heritage!!!:cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin::cursin:

Mine had an M3 badge on it when I bought it-it soon came off though....:mmm: still there is nothing I can do about the rest of the trim-my contours have M badges on them so do the sills, clock, steering wheel,gearshifter...can't be helped as they are all genuine M items

The time is coming when having a "D" for diesel on the boot will be a status symbol:thumbsup:

If only Diesel didn't smell so bad. Although it's mostly the older diesels (They might as well run on cooking oil). I hate it when a cloud of diesel finds it way into the car.

On topic though:
Stick to the original badge. I believe that the badge should tell it like it is.

Debadge for a sleek look is kewl if you want.

Sticking an M badge is lame, particularly if your sporting the standard body trip, tis fake, everybody will know it, and you instantly become... well... lame :)

IMO of course.

You are free to do debadge if you want, your decision and your car no one can tell you what to do, the only thing I have against it is if you take of your 120i badge and replace it with M badge is the following. You will get someone with his ST, GTI etc take you on, beat you and start talking crap like: "I beat a M coupe".And if someone tells him it is not here yet he will say: "O! then must have been 135i"
Keep your bagde man, be proud of what you have, great car!

The only badging I am in favour of is the type where you keep the 318i badge on your 340i/344i/350i project car :)

slighltly off topic, but can anyone tell me how come the 07 and newer models are now 125Kw compared to pre 07 at 110Kw?
was there a completely new engine put into the face lift models? always only thort it was cosmetic changes done to facelifts..
also does that now mean the new e90's also push 125Kw?
