I know this is a dumbass question. But here it goes anyway. By when do i have to change the cambelt. i have 2005 mini cooper with 65000km on the clock. Whats the appox cost for that service.Does anybody know where i can take my mini in for a service. its out of its maintenance plan. Cape Town

Hey bud id say cambelt every 80k.. I never take chances with cambelt as it may cost you valves! Get hold of Koos Swanepoel developments in Capetown! Sure he will sort you out nicely!

AFAIK, your car should have a timing chain ... and not a cambelt. Anyone else care to comment/confirm this ?

Thats right. No cambelt. Has a Timing Chain.

Have a look at your V belt though. That may require a change.
