Hey :D

SO I have a E87 120D that is due for a service. Any place that could be recommended to take it in Centurion area? I also need them to check out a noise by the alternator that's bothering me. Needs to be RMI approved if they need to replace anything major with the 3rd party warranty.

Thanks :]

I dont know of anyone in the Centurion area, but Ross Duncan is in Midrand and is a top notch mechy... I suggest giving them a call (011 805 3219) to find out about RMI etc etc... they carry out every service on my120d.

You can give these guys a try if you want, they are in Pretoria area, so maybe a bit closer to Centurion...

PS: INSIST on going to the workshop in the Villieria area, not the one in Brooklyn area...

Great! Thanks guys! I have heard more than once that the Leo Hease in Centurion is bad so I want to avoid that too. I called up FR&RTuning in Centurion to hear what they say and they can help me on Tuesday and are RMI approved, but, after reading this I am going to give Ross Duncan a call first thing Monday morning. Will feedback how it went

Awesome, I believe Ross Duncan is RMI approved as he is approved to stamp the service manuals (legally)... only thing is he is a busy man so sometimes one has to wait 2 weeks or so, so book your car in early

This is a pretty belated post, however a well deserved one. Took my car to FR&R Tuning as they were able to help me sooner. What a mistake. Got it back with half of the dash lights on, broken break sensors, and it looked like it literally was in a mechanics shop. Even the trip computer had these weird readings. Thoroughly disappointed I called up Ross Duncan and he made a effort to accomodate me and at least check what is going on. I rocked up there and within a hour I was a smiling customer again. Not going to make too much of a fuss about the FR&R experience, but I would highly disapprove of anyone wanting to take something there they want back in any form of acceptable condition. Not to mention the service... shees...

Anyways, I also had a noise coming from the engine that bothered me, sort of like a clicking noise, which in my "noobness" sounded like a alternator or something. Again, Ross Duncan checked it out and seemed like some charge regulator for the turbo was acting up. Had the part replaced there and ever since I am convinced to never take my car anywhere else. Thanks to those that recommended him!
