Service plan running out- do I have to go to AutoAtlantic?

Hi guys!

I'm about to buy a 2011 Mini Cooper One. The motor plan with Auto Atlantic expires in August. I got a quote today from them that is super expensive. Are there other motor plan options? Is it more cost effective to go for individual services or to stick with a motor plan? Thanks in advance!

Hi Alison

What was the quote from auto Atlantic? Was it to extend motor plan by mileage or time?

Additionally are you based in cape town cbd? Maybe we can recommend an "aftermarket" service centre to take care of your car. They are significantly cheaper, nearly half the price of the dealer (per hour labour), and there are a few equally good or better than the dealers themselves.

Additionally you can try work the motorplan extension into the purchase deal.

Good luck with the purchase

A Mini/BMW out of MP is not a curse. There are a few reputable garages in CT able to maintain your car in top condition, for considerably lower cost.
MP mileage extension is pricier than Time extension. How many K's are currently on the car? Have Auto Atlantic print out the current MP works list and see if any major items have been replaced yet. If not much has been done, I personally would buy the MP extension and replace whatever I can. Example: my 2008 BMW's extension was about 12k but in that year I had over 45k of items replaced, so sometimes it pays off. It helps to complain sometimes. Give us more info so DieselF can pick his encyclopedic brain.
