Service Costs

Hi guys,

I'm looking at buying either a CooperS or an E46 330i, so just doing a bit of research :thinker:

What are the service costs (Major and minor services at dealerships) on the R53 CooperS Minis, and also what are the intervals.

Is the 330i's services the same?

im not sure what the services would be but I bet they will put a dent in your pocket.....


As for the cars themselves both are good cars! The 330 obviously have more space........

But say youre a sound addict the mini will be much beter vs the 330....

Hey Draven!

Intervals of the e46 330i and mini are around 25000 km, however I would recommend changing your oil between intervals. I had my e46 for 4 months now excellent car and the fuel consumption is great for a 3 liter. Which ever you go with, they are both great cars. I was quoted R 3500 for an Inspection 1 service, from the dealers.

If you are not buying from a BMW Dealership, make sure you request the car to be inspected by BMW or a reputable shop...... Ask me how I know :hammerhead:

If you do go for the Cooper S, try to get the facelifted one (2005+), as quite a few of the small bugs (and rattles) were fixed.
