I have a BMW 120i and am looking for the OBD cable and software, the car is not running properly and I am wanting to check if the OBD can help me find the problem. One thing is that it is idling weird and that has caused it to cut out about 5 times now (this causes a massive safety risk as it has happened to me in a turn before, meaning I have lost power steering and that was not fun) the second thing is an odd sound that seems like it is coming from the front wheels when ever I accelerate after switching gears. And last but not least the last time I rode the car I lifted the bonnet to find oil everywhere and the problem with BMW's is that everything is cover so I can't see where the problem is, all I see is oil everywhere (including the underside of the bonnet) but by the exhaust manifold, that area is still clean. Please help, don't want to have to resort to taking it to BMW and spending a lot of money but if it HAS to be done then I will.
