Does anybody know how to activate this feature on the E90 ?

Mines is not active, but a buddy has a later model E90 and his works fine ??

Thats on the e46...not sure if it works the same way on the e90!

I discovered that feature out by mistake while I was cleaning the car. 2 weeks later, I discovered the indicator/light thing while cleaning the car again. I had already had her for a year

Thanks for the link Hellas...I always thought the beep below 3C degrees was to warn me that its cold outside and wear a jacket before I exit the car... fail!

Works the same on the E9x and E8x series models...

With iDrive you can even set how long you want the follow-me-home-lights to stay on for.

I believe that this is a GT1 setting only...the software I have cannot set this option. You can either book the car into BMW and be charged 1 hour of labour to set this or make friends with some other dealership that has a GT1 and will apply the setting for free...

Thanks for info man.

I assume mp will not cover it?

I have never owned a car on motorplan, so I am not sure. I would think that if you ask them to modify the setting when the car is in for a normal service, they would do it without charging...but not sure.
If not, see if you can chat to the mechanic and promise a case of Castle if he can do it for you :)

you'll need to pull the stalk forward on the E90 if you want the lights on after u lock the car. you can configure how long the lights stay on afterwards on the settings tab on the indicator stalk.
