Scirocco R squeaky brakes

Hey peeps.....

So my wife recently bought a Sciroccro R :clapper:

After a few days we noticed that the brakes started squeaking, luckily the car was due for its annual service.......

We made mention of the brakes and the Agents informed her that there is just dirt in the brakes :skit:

Still the squeak continued, I then gave the brakes a proper hosing down on full force getting right into the gaps etc.

The squeak was gone, but now 4 days later it has returned, does anybody have a suggestion as what this could be?

I assume that maybe it is brake dust but surely this cant be the issue or else all cars would be experirncing this issue.

My next step is Q20(good idea or not?)

Can someone please advise what can I do so that this issue can be sorted.........

And no funnies about replacing the car lol

Tell the agents they did not sort the issue out.

Its seems that you may need some copper grease on the back of the pads.

The squeak, i stand to be corrected, has more to do with vibration than friction.

Thanks for the heads up on the Q20

Ill def give the agents a call back to let them know....... its just a pain to have to take the car in again especially while working!

I was hoping that there is an alternate to sorting out the issue without taking the car to the agents.

Its highly frustrating when you highlight something to them and then they come back with a response only for the issue to be there still.

Shucks... Long time!!
Hows your E36 M3?? :)

The pads needs more copper grease on the back of them, or they may be worn out and need replacing...

It only squeaks under low and slow braking........

If the car is at high speed and you brake hard then there isnt a sound

been too long......

The M3 is still 100's...... lol

I think it needs copper grease, as they said that the pads still have 4mm on them

Copper grease will still break down at high temperatures. Get yourself some self adhesive break pad shims from 3M, cut them to size so they meet the caliper pistons and apply.
