SA's new frozen M3 quickest yet

Looks good and I like the fact SA will have their own unique ///M3, but the price just seems too high, I'm sure you can get way more performance for that kind of price, through tuning or just getting another car (You can get yourself a second hand GT-R for that kind of money, I know its not a BMW but is still a pretty awsome car), but I do like AC Schnitzer.

It would depend on what options come standard. If I'm not mistaken, the e92 M3 is already pretty close to 910K, for the M Dynamic, then another what - call it 50K+ just for some fun optionals. That's a stone's throw short of the Frozen. Sure, the power isn't that much more, but you have to remember one thing - Exclusivity is Priceless.

So don't see this as a car aimed at the man who would rather buy the Datsun because it's faster (BTW, everyone is under the impression the Datsun is R1.2mil, but isn't it closer to 1.5? - can't find the accurate price now, and need to get back to work - so please don't flame me mercilessly if I'm wrong :bawling:). This car is aimed at the BMW fan who wants the best M3 he can, with a warrantee. I personally really dig it. That doesn't mean I would buy it, but I also won't buy a GTR. Frankly, I'd rather have the V8 vantage. Nowhere near as fast, but it thrills me even when it's standing still - where as I think the GTR can only be properly appreciated on the track.

It is a pitty the frozen isn't Manual too - Then I could've argued it's the best Manual BMW you can buy. No disrespect to the DCT, I just love manual on //Ms (no experience though, simply school boy dreams)

I saw a second hand Datsun GT-R for sale at an exclusive cars (I think thats their name) for R980k, I just don't know if these kinds of cars will keep their value very well like the older ones (333 and 325iS). The BMW is obviously the better looking car. Yeah I would also rather want it in a manual.

I remember back in the day, the e46 M3 was around R500k, and the CSL came out and was something like R950K, same type of story, I still wouldnt have a second hand GTR over an M3 CSL or this frozen M3.

yes that is correct the CSL was R950k. but there were very limited numbers...only 65 in SA. 1500 in world.
I heard that there are 20 known of that are written off in SA! Not that much quicker in terms of power and stats. but the difference was seen on the race track.

Shortly after release and sale of the CSL, BMW lowered the price to R700k, they re-emburesed previous buyers if i can recall... there was some issue with un fair pricing.

today they are still holding there value around the R400-500k mark. but i still dont know... in manual i would jump at it. in SMG i am just not sure.

not sure if this new M3 Frozen is going to have the same impact as the CSL?!?!

Frozen M3 = RIP OFF!!!

So let me get this straight... we have to fork out over R1Million for an M3 which still isn't going sub 5 0-100.. ROFL

You could take a stock bottom range one, slap on an EAS kit, some matt black vinyl and uprated suspension and still be R200k cheaper than the frozen version..

I think the frozen would also keep its value well, if only due to the fact that there are limited numbers, but I would like to see it with something extra that is really exclusive and hard to copy, but if I had that kind of money just laying around I would probably rather spend it on an M1, now that is exclusive and limited.
