ASH said:I have used both, I can say that the iPhone is very limited in everyday convienence, eg. you cant send multiple photos in an email, which is very strange. It's probably best as a fashion accessory as you look kinda cool when you interact with the touch screen and perform all the flicks and pinches etc. I however found its cababilities very limited and the constant need to download apps is annoying to get the most out of the phone. Someone I know summed up the iPhone as "being very easy to use for someone who battles with technology, but people who need advanced features will really battle with an iPhone" :thumbdo:
I did use the S3 over the weekend at Vodaworld and was totally blown away by the features that the phone had, the screen quality, the photos it can take, the photo burst mode is quite cool. Also noticed the phone doesnt freeze when moving between screens and photos, it is very fast with excellent HD video playback. The voice feature is very cool as well as direct call, which is where if you have received an sms or missed call, you simply put the phone to your ear and it will dial the number, to me really cool, especially when driving.raise:
It is abit big but not as large as the Galaxy Note, we where able to compare both phones as the Samsung consultant owns a Galaxy Note, he actually admitted the Galaxy Note as not having the tech and features of the S3. I am very impressed with the S3 and definitely going to look at it when I'm due for upgrade.
Apple and RIM have a bit of catching up to do, I read in the Sunday paper that Apple actually have a lawsuit going to prevent the releasing of the S3 worldwide, shows how much Apple are afraid of this phone. :roflol:

To make things easier...just get a Nokia 3310. it will last a whole decade with cool polyphonic rigtones! :roflol:
R2.99 incl. VAT

Rather go for the 3330. It came with animated backgrounds. And it could store 100 more contacts.![]()

As I'm in the IT world....
Everything is going to Android, because it's free unlike the royalties that needs to be paid to Microsoft(Nokia) and all the other cellular companies is saving big time with Android.
Phones that I owned is iPhone 3GS,iPhone 4, HTC HD2, HTC HD7 etc. etc.
And currently I own a Galaxy S Note. (I loaded it with ICS 4.0.3, as it came with Gingerbread 2.3) and I must say I'm really loving it.
It's good if you like open source as you can manipulate the way you want it with a lot of tweaks etc.
What I can say: Android needs yet to achieve the "smoothness" like the iOS operating system. The fact that we live in S.A and with the crappy Apple SA store is really thumbs down.:thumbdo: To purchase from US store, you have to buy vouchers, register a valid U.S address (i used McDonalds), change your computer as "United States" etc. etc. before it accepts it....
Where Android only has one Market....you register with your gmail account and youre done. You can download anything, anywhere and the best part is most applications is free. Yet unlike Apple.
And Android doesn't use a interface like Apple does...(iTunes- which I hated but it improved our the past 2-3years) Android is drag and drop the file you want in the right folder....
We already testing Windows 8 (developers edition) and it seems that Win 8 mobile is going to work perfectly with it. As Windows 8 looks a lot like Windows Mobile 7 already....
So yes...it's personal preference.
Go and google:
HTC One X vs Samsung Galaxy s3.
iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy S3
iPhone 4S vs HTC One X
and read some reviews....
Try and go for "future proof" (better spec) like 4G etc....4G Technology is yet to come to SA...and then it's play time over again!
My choice:
Samsung Galaxy s3
HTC one X
iPhone 4S
(my personal opinion)

You shouldn't be talking on your cellphone while driving, not is this jsut dangerous but an EPIC fail and you are one of the people who give BMW drivers a bad name....:nonono::thumbdo:
secondly, you can input more than one photo on an e-mail on an Apple phone, google it and you will see....you touch, share and use in mail....:flyfun::rollsmile:
:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
now stop driving and suing your phone and you will find out about the rest of the features he he :roflol::rollsmile:
but definitely agreed, the S3 is a threat to all smartphone companies for sure!!! i read that same articled about the Apple's lawsuit and the Galaxy S3 is very well priced, R7799 from Vodacom, not shabby compared to exhorbitant pricing of other manufacturers, especially apple.
