just read on the vw forum that the raided the shell garage,in samrand avenue,on thursday, they got all the people with car keys to lie down on the floor, and did a search.

apparentlly 9 people arrested, one a woman that just stopped for bread and milk, they werent charged but released later.

so guys, avoid this area all together,it also sounds if they were checking the shell on the n1 north as there was activity 1 weeks ago.(lots of bmw's were there)

also some one complained to the police and hellopeter, about the caes stopping at both garages, load music, tyres spinning and the exchanging of drugs for money.

so guys the cops are out to get us,so lets lay low for a while

Just got home from a mates place and saw 3 different undercover cars, 1 Silver golf GTI MK4, a old Ford Sierra and a red Golf Mk 5 with cops pulling over guys on the highways (no beemers tho ), this was coming from jhb towards woodmead and on the N1 heading south... Cops getting sneaky :fencelook:

this is exactly why i get aggravated by alot of these 'street racing' reports in the news... they love to make the problem seem way bigger than it is and then the cops have to 'do something' about it...

innocent people get harassed for no reason...

If street racing was responsible for a large number of deaths on the road i would agree with this but its not... they should rather take on the large number of drunk drivers that are about every weekend :(

These idiots should rather go out and start solving some real crime instead of arresting people just being at a garage..

What a total waste of taxpayers money and resources..

good point.

i am on the road all day and the number of people (mainly minibus taxis) that run red robots and stop on blind corners to let passengers off is ridiculous. but no they would rather harass innocent people. sickening :thumbdo:

don't even get me started on the priorities and BUSINESS approach of the SA authorities, it pisses me off properly. it takes years of street racing to cause the same carnage caused by a single almost daily taxi accident...

however

why make it so easy for them?
the guys that really go race meet up via sms at a random location and go about business, no spectators, no excess baggage.
these okes that park off at the most brightly lit of petrol stations and pose for photos almost deserve to get caught.

there are enough places to meet up around joburg to do it discreetly and keep the swine guessing.
im glad i grew out of that scene, if you want to prove a point put it on the track, its more fun too.

I will not lie down for a saps official . If they do their job there will be no need to harass the public and then have the ICD on their case .
