it seems that a lot of you guys think it would be ok to use a ladder in this way?
lets ask you this question, you employ abc to come errect a electric gate and do electric fencing.the day you come ,you let them in and dash off to work, they carry on and they have an accident, who is responsible?

you are,not the owner of the company or small bussiness, you as a home owner have contracted them to work on your premises, you are responsible to make sure they had correct ppe aswell as using the correct tooling,if there is a death, labour department comes out to investigate and if they find out you didnt check this ,they can and will take you to court.they can charge you with murder, you will go to jail.

so in the last picture,if that worker falls and dies, labour dept comes out checks the scene and talks to our workers, and it points back to the owner of the property, well dont bend down for the soap.

your childs friends come to swim at your house, one falls and cuts open his head, you are ressponssible.did you have a sign up stating that the floor was slippery?

just like the 16.1 of the company is responsible for your health ans safty in the work place,so are you at home, you become the 16.1 at home aand are responsible for every one that you employ, from the domestic to the garden services to the people that do stuff on your property.

personally i would chase this guy in the last picture off my property
