Came Across this Ad in the UK

South African spec e28 m5's for sale in the UK was exported in 2003.
Sad, but worth more over there sadly. 16 000 Pounds

I wonder how many more prestine examples are left in SA and how many have been exported, both m5's and 333's?

It's a shame that the South African market for classics and special editions is poor, i put it down to people not knowing what they own, and lack of confidence in them as an investment

I'm glad it's still alive instead of lying dead somewhere, rusting in peace.

It's a legendary car and should be in good capable hands instead of some boy racer using it to drift through the suburbs of SA.

just on the side, the production number of 96 quoted is not correct!

Personally I dont have a clue, Whats the correct number? I only got the number from the ad and thats what Bmw registry lists the number to be.

SA (RHD without catalyst): 96 produced (assembled from CKD kits) from 6/87 through 11/88*
*Dates shown indicate final completion of vehicles assmebled in Rosslyn, South Africa.

With the British winter and wettish climate a car like this is garaged for long times and so low kilos are done per annum .
Here we go for weekend drives....500 km :fencelook: and put kilos on .

Lots of dogs on Gumtree/junkmail......no pedigrees though :roflol:
