Running costs on a 750iL for the last 10 years

So i got the paper work for the car yesturday and it came with a 3 page list of maintenance and repair work done for the last 115000km. Its now got 235000km.
Here is just a few
- 4 sets of tyres
- new exhaust
- new starter motor
- new propshaft at 201200km
- new monitor installed (not working at the moment)
- left and right front suspension replaced
- replaced airmass meter
- replaced elec window regulator
- renewed front and rear brakes twice
- renewed rear suspension spheres
and thats not including all the belts and hoses and other little faults. I think replacing the front suspension cost him more that what i paid for the whole car.
Lets hope she is more reliable in my hands.

the joy of owning a 750iL - bought for a coke and a packet of chips - 3 services cost same as it was bought for . Nearly fell in that money pit 3 years ago !!!

Ok fine...fair enough....

But go buy a 160i Toyota RunX in today's terms and see what that costs you if you factor in monthly installments and stuff, and then compare that to what your getting..

i see theres also a quote to replace the motor for R115000 but decided against it. i was told that he was anal about his cars. not that im complaining, glad he had all that work done. saves me tons.

:biglol: good luck dude - beaut of a car - but as u mentioned the suspension is horrendously expensive.

Its a 4:3 but they said that after replacing monitor they still couldnt souce the problem and just left it.

Exactly! And the days when I still had the Corolla I remember their parts prices being pretty ridiculous in general, and servicing was actually expensive for a small "basic" car!!
