Guys,
I urge all of you track & gymkhana and straight line fanatics to please have a look at these championships and register. Its great to see a club putting all this work in, securing sponsors etc so that we can have mini championships, where anybody from anybrand can participate.
They have track days, gymkhanas 400m, 1km, dyno days and some heads up racing as well. You get points for each event and obviously are classed in categories.
I have meant to post earlier but here it is, I think registrations close this week.
Building on the success of the 2013 RS Club Championships, a great year of racing filled with laughter and great sportsmanship. We never lost track of the core focus of what the RS Club Championships truly represented and that was ultimately making new friend and bonding with old ones over a common passion – motorsport!
When we approached the 2013 competitors and asked them for suggestions leading into the 2014 planning, it was quite clear that we had the winning formula! It is on this note that we are proud to announce that 2014 RS Club Championship will commence in January 2014 – bigger and better!
The RS Club of South Africa welcomes all its members and friends to join the Official 2014 RS Club Championship which commences in January 2014. The championship focus will be around legal and formal events such as Track, Strip, Gymkhana and Dyno. Whilst we understand that not all enjoy doing track events we have made provisions for a variety of activities.
The event is open to all RS Club Members as well as competitors outside of the Renault Sport family. We are extending the invite to other clubs to add a little flavour and competition. Entries will be capped at a maximum of 100 cars with the majority of the quota being allocated to the RS Club.
As you all are well aware we are a club that runs on zero memberships fees and thus we need the support of our members in making this a successful event. We have decided to commence the championships January 2014 with registrations occurring November to December 2013. We understand that at this time of the year everyone is in holiday mode and costs are accumulating for christmas and holidays etc. Thus you pay a small reg fee now and only late January next year do events commence
Whilst we understand that this is a competitive event, we would like to encourage all the members to remain civil amongst each other. We all enjoy good healthy competition, we would to avoid any incidents.
