Rev jammed while driving...

A throttle getting stuck open is very dangerous, you should have it seen to immediately!

Did the car revs climb suddenly or was it more of a gentle increase?

No expert just a thought, if the rings are dameged ,the turbo will burn the oil after being under full load even when the acselaretor is released it will still rev.:fencelook:

the revs climbed little rapid then gently but not immediately and hard..if you get what i am saying...its like a gentle acceleration...and then stayed at the rev and started coming down slowly...

Ok cool thanks gents! will do it... the thing is the rev got stick but it didnt boost so it wasnt accelerating, just revving. wil book it in anyhow to get checked

As for holding the second gear, I experience that as well, i just put it into sport and manually change the gear

You guys need to do software update on the gearbox's had this issue with my 330d, once the update was done... smooth shifting, feels like brand new... :thumbs:
